Short version: ErgoVision AI analyzes your posture entirely on your device. Your photos stay on your phone. We don't sell or share your data. Optional features (AI Enhancement and Help Improve ErgoVision) are clearly disclosed and turned off by default.
ErgoVision AI ("we", "us", "our") is an Android application that analyzes desk posture using on-device computer vision and ergonomic scoring. This policy explains what data the app handles, how we protect your privacy, and the choices you have.

When you run a posture scan, the app uses your device camera to capture photos. These photos are analyzed on your device using Google MediaPipe (on-device machine learning) and never leave your phone unless you explicitly enable an optional feature (see below).
The app computes 33 body landmark points (shoulders, elbows, knees, etc.) from each photo using on-device machine learning. This data is used to calculate ergonomic scores (RULA methodology) and posture fix suggestions. It is stored locally alongside the scan result.
If you enable AI Enhancement in settings, your posture photo is sent to Google's Gemini API for additional contextual analysis (e.g., checking if your monitor is too low). This is an optional enhancement — the app produces complete posture analysis without it.
When AI Enhancement is enabled:
You can turn AI Enhancement off at any time. When off, zero data is sent to Google — the app runs fully offline.
If you enable Help Improve ErgoVision, the app saves anonymized workspace photos on your device. You choose when (and whether) to upload them to our training dataset, hosted on Google Firebase Storage.
Before any photo leaves your device:
Uploaded data is used to train a future on-device ergonomic analysis model. We do not sell, share, or publish this data. It is accessible only to the ErgoVision AI development team for model training purposes.
This feature is off by default. You must explicitly enable it and explicitly tap the Upload button — nothing uploads automatically.
ErgoVision AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete any associated data.
ErgoVision AI provides wellness guidance based on established ergonomic standards (RULA methodology). It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified healthcare provider for any medical concerns related to posture, pain, or ergonomic injury.
We do not request location, contacts, SMS, call logs, or any other permission.
All network traffic uses HTTPS with TLS 1.2 or higher. Firebase Storage uploads are restricted to authenticated write operations only — uploaded data is not publicly readable. API keys embedded in the app are restricted to this app's package name and signing certificate.
We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes will be announced in the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
